The journey takes us south of Maastricht, along the forest paths of the St.-Pietersberg to Belgium. Here the French-speaking part of Belgium touches the Netherlands. We follow the picturesque Jeker valley where Flemish and Walloon villages alternate and the sunny slopes are planted with vines. The landscape is characterised by marl pits and caves. Half of the route is on dirt roads and the other half on cycle paths and quiet roads.
